Notes about my game, feel free to ignore.

I went back into Sims 2 last night to do some finishing touches on a set for Simtopi. First of all, the story is still ongoing, there is no hiatus, I’m not quitting, I still love it and I intend to complete it in Sims 2. Okay, with that out of the way, I can confess that going back to decorating in Sims 2 after doing so much in Sims 3 over the past month kind of made me want to throw things at my monitor.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of content in the Sims 3 basegame, but being able to apply any colour and texture you want to most objects makes that almost irrelevant.  My world seems loaded, and yet it seems to run so much more smoothly and load faster (unoptimized!) than my Simtopi hood. At least it does on my computer.  Never mind that Simtopi is so fragile that it seems to freeze and throw errors now if I even look it at it the wrong way.

I still love looking at Sims 2 pictures, and I love playing around with my characters, but I don’t know if I can go back to building for it.  I thought decorating for Sims 3 would be more time consuming, but it’s not really, it’s actually much easier.

Anyway with that said, I mean it, I’m putting Auberon on hold while I get the next chapter of Simtopi worked out. :)  I’m sorry it was late, but you know how it is when you have a creative bug that won’t let go…
